The ZT-D30 Distribution Automation Substation Terminal DTU is primarily applied in distribution automation systems. It is installed in locations such as 10KV ring main units, sub-section posts, electricity distribution rooms, switch rooms, comprehensive rooms and so on. It can be coordinated with the main station and substation systems of distribution automation to achieve the collection, analysis, and control of data such as voltage, current, active power, and reactive power for multiple lines. It can also detect faults, locate fault areas, isolate them, and restore power supply to non-fault areas. It is an ideal product for realizing distribution automation.
Main functions and characteristics

1) Electrical parameter acquisition: Real-time collection of electrical parameters such as voltage, current, zero-sequence voltage, zero-sequence current, power, power factor, and frequency.

2) Switch status monitoring: Monitor the open and closed states of circuit breakers, load switches, isolating switches, and other equipment.

3) Short-circuit fault detection: Detect short-circuit faults in the line and trigger protective actions.

4) Remote opening and closing: Control the opening and closing operations of circuit breakers or load switches via remote commands.

5) Harmonic wave analysis:  Monitor the harmonic wave content of voltage and current to assess power quality.

6) Sequence of Events (SOE) recording: Record the precise time sequence of events such as switch position changes and protective actions.

7) Backup power supply: Equipped with a battery or supercapacitor to provide backup power in the event of main power interruption.

8) Power supply monitoring: Monitor the status of the main power supply and backup power supply to ensure continuous operation of the equipment.

9) Alarm function: Trigger local and remote alarms when abnormalities are detected (such as overcurrent, overvoltage, communication interruption,etc.).

10) Intelligent load management: Optimize load distribution based on load demand and price signals.

    The board adopts a modular integrated design. Each DTU can collect data from six bays. Specifically, each unit can collect three phase voltages and one zero-sequence voltage. For each circuit, it can collect three phase currents and one zero-sequence current. Each bay can collect seven telemetry signals. Additionally, each bay is equipped with one control remote operation for opening and closing, and one protection remote operation for opening and closing.

    The terminal is equipped with two types of communication modules: remote wireless communication module and local communication module. It also features external interfaces including 2 Ethernet ports, 4 RS-232/RS-485 serial ports, and 1 RS-232 maintenance serial port.

    The device supports protocols such as IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, CDT92, DNP 3.0, and MODBUS. It can also meet special requirements for dual IP and dual MAC addresses as requested. Additionally, it has the capability to access self-description information of bay units based on standards such as DL/T 860 (IEC 61850).
